As Dylan began his gun battle, Miles and Haruna jumped from the second story to the top of a ledge over the patient entranceway. Miles got Haruna off the ledge and away from the hospital. Miles pushed Haruna into his car and ran back towards the hospital entrance.

The two men's embrace ended. "We better leave before more arrive," Dylan said.

The red Corvette hummed as the two approached. Dylan looked at Miles, his eyebrows raised.

"I borrowed a car when I got into town."

Miles went to the driver's side and got in. Dylan bent down, and the window rolled down.

"What are you going to do?" Haruna said.

"You know where my car is?" Dylan said

"The black Mustang?"

"Yes."

"In an impound lot on Fourth Street. Not far from here."

"I take it you won't be joining us?" Miles asked.

"No." Dylan's eyes fell on Miles. "Get her somewhere safe."

Dylan reached into his pocket and pulled out Liza's golden locket. He handed it to Haruna. "Liza had this on her when she died. Can you find her daughter? Tell her I'm sorry."

Dylan walked away from the car. Haruna held the locket for a moment and cried, "Dylan!"

He turned.

Haruna stepped out of the car and stood in front of Dylan. "This girl meant everything to Liza. She tried to turn her life around, but Vanco didn't let her. She abused her. Threatened her for years, but Liza kept trying to pull away. Vanco killed her daughter in a car crash." She handed the locket back to Dylan. "Did a man in white shoot Liza?"

Dylan held the locket in his hand and nodded. "He has a scar across his eye. I'm going to find him, and I'm going to kill him."

Haruna nodded. "I've heard some officers refer to him as Ghost. I hope you find him."

Dylan smiled at Haruna and walked away. A few minutes later, several cop cars headed toward the hospital.

"Russians must have cleared out," Dylan thought. He wrapped the locket's chain around his wrist.
