- Styx to Life
Casting upon the river Styx,
Awaiting my final licks.
How did I end up on this raft?
How swiftly did my time elapse,
Cut short by a crash or a white bag's grasp?
Casting upon the river Styx,
Contemplating when it's time to quit.
No others around in this new realm,
Was I virtuous in life's helm?
Or in death, did I lose myself?
What am I upon the river Styx?
Casting out, dark waters thick,
No shore in sight, just the abyss,
Time on the Styx, leaving me adrift.
Alone, my soul, the foggy waters churn,
How long have I been on this stern?
Tidal currents racing fast,
Grasping onto the raft, aghast.
Can one die again, even after death's kiss?
The water gleams with pain,
I fall into the abyss of flames
The light blinds my eyes,
Muffled cries amid the joy.
The voice echoes in my reeling mind
Welcome to the world once again,
From the river Styx, my soul implores.
Pure and painless, but soon to be soiled,
In the cycle of life, endlessly coiled.
Again and again,
I return,
Welcome to the world,
Death is no concern.
