The Blood Oath

In order to complete initiation into our ranks, one must cite the following, spilling their blood into the bowl of Brotherhood:

I swear by the shadows that cloak us,

And by the blood that binds us,

To tread the path unseen, unheard,

And to strike where darkness reigns.

I vow to weave deception like a web,

To unmask the wicked and unveil their sins,

To bring justice swift and silent,

Unto the hearts of the corrupted.

I pledge my blade to the cause,

To spill the blood of tyrants,

And to cleanse the land of their foul influence,

No matter the cost, no matter the sacrifice.

May the night shield me,

And my purpose guide me,

For we are the silent judges,

The unseen executioners,

Bound by blood, sworn to secrecy,

I pledge myself to this way of life.
