Author's Introduction
This work, A Chronicle of Sixteen Stars, is a setting compendium for TTRPGS, or tabletop roleplaying games, such as Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, or similar systems. In short, the purpose of this book is present a complete and comprehensive overview of the setting "The Wraith Globe" by exploring the entire history of that world from start to finish.
If you're a game master, first-time or veteran, this work acts to provide a unique setting for you to run your games in or to pull inspiration from. If you're a TTRPG player, it can help you explore new character concepts or roleplaying possibilities through the lense of storytelling. But wait, there's more. If you're not an aspiring game master or eager TTRPG player, this book is still a full narrative similar to the style of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion. You need not play D&D or any other tabletop system to read and enjoy this book.
If you do wish to use this setting in a tabletop game you plan to run, I simply have to express how I honored I am. I've provided as much detail as I can within these pages to help you run the best game possible, but be confident in your ability to fill in the missing gaps. Of course, no system-specific rules or similar details are included in this book, so feel free to design rules, monsters, traps, and maps to your heart's desire. Add what makes sense in your mind, improvise where necessary, and feel free to reach out to me if you are curious or have questions regarding the world, I promise I don't bite.
In order to further pronounce how this work can be used by game masters, a "what if?" has been posed at the end of each age of the Wraith Globe, presenting an alternative path forward in the world's history. The purpose of these additional chapters is to promote creativity concerning the setting, not only on my part but also your part as the game master or reader.
With all of that out of the way buckle up, strap in, and let us delve into a Chronicle of Sixteen Stars!
